Do It Satu Lagi, formerly known as Do It United FC were formed
in May 1993 by Tony Winyard from regulars of the "JJ
Do It!" bar in Jakarta, Indonesia. We compete in the
Jakarta International Football League (JIFL), which consists
of mainly expatriate players from all parts of world playing
in 12 different teams, with each team nominally being from
a country or in our case a bar basis. In August 2002 the team
name was changed to Do It Satu Lagi FC as the Satu Lagi bar
have sponsored us for the past 8 years.! Originally a team
of fit, younger players, we have now matured into a team of
not so young, not so fit players with an active youth policy,
being back row, 2nd left, aged 34 years old. This will be
DoIts first overseas tournament, but we do participate
in all the main expatriate 6s tournaments, including
the Bali, ISCI and Knudde 6s. Of the team participating
in this tournament we have old Do It players flying in from
Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Canada and Indonesia.

BuGils Jakarta as defended the orange colors in Jakarta since
1976. The name FC Knudde is derived from a Dutch soccer cartoon,
which means 'FC Lousy'. Knudde has played an important role
in developing and maintaining the Jakarta International Football
league over the years, in cooperation with the other clubs
in Jakarta. The Knudde Six-a-side Competition, usually held
in May, is an important event in the Jakarta Soccer calendar.
FC Knudde won the JIFL in 1994 when they defeated France 2-1
in the play off's final with a goal in extra-time from the
team's all time top scorer Elwin de Groot.

MADRAS
UNITED
(India)

|
Country: India
City: Madras
Team Color: Blue
Captain: Markus
Players: International with
English, Danish, German,
Scotish, Yorkshire...

MadrasUnited, founded 1998 by Pete Briggs, an English Man
and by Claus Lyngaa, Danish Dynamite. Shortly there after
joined by Markus Kabisch, a German. MUF has participated in
the Singapore 7 and in the last two Bangkok Masters. It is
highly time that this team of highly skilled players finally
enter at least the quarter final.
The team:
Pete Briggs, Yorkshire man, who is difficult to understand
after a few beers. The oldest in the team, but scored more
than some who call them selves "striker".
Claus Lyngaa, Danish, loves to play up front, scored last
in Singapore '03 and has a vision of Phuket top scorer 2005,
all the best my friend.
Simon Irvine, English, and for sure the playboy of the MUF
team, we all hope he plays as well on the pitch as he does
later in the bars. Girls run as fast as you can......
Mark Leppington, English, total commitment, is wearing his
kit already two day before at home, including football boots.
Also looking for his first goal since he joined MUF .
Dirk Walther, German, defender, but very dangerous once he
shows up in the other half. Well known for his flying headers,
one day he will score....Dirk make sure we are all alive.
Nige Wyman, English, tries very hard, but has never reached
a final....
Nige , give everything, believe me MUF will reach the final
before Chelsea does.
Alan Mcgregor, Scots man, elegant midfield player, who can
make the difference, very much depending on Friday night.....
Rob Brown, English man, shows some skills which Brits normally
do not have....technique, samba hips and stamina, sure he
is married to a Latina.
Markus Kabisch, German, who believes he can play any position,
but they do not allow him...and most of the time ends up in
the goal. Anybody interested to go in goal, last min. signing
possible.

Red Lions FC, first participation for this team from Taiwan...The
Red Lions squad arrives at the Phuket 7s from a break
in their Taipei league fixtures and fresh from their latest
competitions, winning the Tavern Premier League and the Taiwan
Fall Cup. The Taipei Red Lions Football Club was formed in
1983 and their history is littered with tournaments all over
Asia with the island of Phuket witnessing many a fine Red
Lions performance. We hope this year to at least match our
ancestors (Charlie Watson) both on and off the field at this
years tournament. We have gathered for this weekend
some of the Lions most experienced (older, last legs, past
sell buy date) players as well as some new faces with fresh
legs and hair on their heads, a squad of 17 players with a
mixture of what looks like fathers and sons. Both the young
guns and the over 35s have been steered here by Paddy
OSullivan our veteran tournament player/organizer with
some 25 tours under his shorts.(equates to about 2500 beers)
or around 250 shouts by Paddy of someone get the round
in. The young guns captain is Kenny Browne
..him
with clean boyish looks, motorized legs and loads of Irish
wit. The slightly older squad 35-55s, are handled by
football veteran Tony Hewitt who was recently voted by the
sponsors (Carnegies Taipei) barmaids as the Lions most valuable
player! The Red Lions wish all the teams an enjoyable weekend
of football and elephant riding, if we dont meet on
the field then we are sure to bump into you in the bar. Whos
Spartacus?

Captain: Ian Gray
Players: Australian
|
|
Team Bondi, first participation for this team from Australia...
From the golden sands of the world famous Bondi Beach in Sydney,
the Bondi Boys have been playing together for more years than
they wish to admit to. Don't be fooled though by their laid
back approach as the team boasts several former pros and Internationals.
Team Bondi has been travelling the Sevens Circuit"
since 2002 with some outstanding results. Winners in Manila,
Penang & Kuala Lumpur tournaments, as well as, runners
up in Hong Kong, Bangkok and Shanghai events, the boys have
a long list of titles under their belt back home as well.
The team makes its first appearance at the Phuket tournament
and is led by former Socceroo, Australian Internationals,
Ian Gray (35 caps) who will bring his experience and skill
to the fore. Seasoned veterans Avrom Sank, Clive Barrett and
Gary Braude are the engine room of the squad. While defensive
hardmen, Phil Wolanski, Mick Swibel, Gary Weiss, and Craig
Nathan will hope to relive those glory days of the past. The
fearless Andy Prentice steps in between the sticks, while
youngsters Ethan Nyholm and Terry Sperber will
do all the running. Team Bondi aims to ride the crest of the
waves both on and off the field under the guidance of player/coach,
Ian Gray.

TIEN
MU B52 FC
(Taiwan)

 |
|
Country: Taiwan
City: Taipei
Team Color: Orange
Captain: Duncan
Players: International...
|
|
The Tien Mu B52 F.C. (Incorporating B53 FC) was formed 4
years ago as a social football club, catering for the more
mature player as well as short term visitors to Taipei. From
those early days with barely enough to play 5 a side, the
club now boasts a membership of over 60 players from all over
the world, with a diverse range in age and ability! (Hence
the birth of the 53s). We are looking forward to joining
all the other teams in Thailand for what will be our first
outing on the 7s field, made possible by the generosity and
continued support of our Club sponsors, The Green Bar
and Carnegies Taipei. If you are visiting Taiwan
bring your boots
